I am a freelance _Fashion Accessories Designer_ based in Belgium After my studies in Graphic Design and Illustration in Ghent, I have been working as a footwear designer for 4 years with CORTINA NV, Belgium until I decided to start out on my own. Me and my qualities: Creative but in the posession of common sense, a commercial point of view and a neverending love for trends. Full of enthousiasm but down to earth. My experience has tought me following skills: - Trendspotting (shoppings in major cities/magazines/online); - Analyse sales figures; - Designing in Illustrator or Photoshop/Freehand Sketching (material/colour schemes/mould, insole + print designs); - Correcting samples; - Training and guidance of 2 Junior Designers for 2 years; - Travelling: Annually, 6 times 2 weeks to China for reviewing the collection; - Several shopping trips in major European cities and visit relevant shoe and fashion fairs and communicate back reports to other departments.
